Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norway
Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norway was established in 2013, merging three companies with long traditions in the Norwegian market: Nidar, KiMs, and Sætre.
Today, Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norway is the largest supplier of products for enjoyment and indulgence in the Norwegian market. The company has around 440 employees and a portfolio of excellent chocolate, biscuits, and snacks products under the Nidar, KiMs and Sætre brands. The goal is to thrill and delight the Norwegian consumers with well-known brands and the best tastes!
At the Nidar factory in Trondheim, which opened in 1915, delicious chocolate favorites like Stratos, Nidar, Crispo, Troika og Smash are produced along with treats like Bamsemums and Laban. The factory has its own development laboratory where new and exciting candy ideas are hatched.
Since 1964, the factory at Skreia has been crafting crispy KiMs potato chips and specialty snacks, along with Polly nut blends. The factory has agreements with approximately 50 potato growers, with over half of them being local farmers.
At the brand-new biscuit factory in Riga, the iconic Sætre biscuits are crafted using the same delightful recipes that have delighted consumers for generations.
Sustainability is a key focus for us. We’re committed to using environmentally friendly raw materials and packaging, and actively working to reduce our carbon footprint. Our products are palm oil-free and cocoa is Rainforest Alliance certified.
